If this project went to Canada, they shouldnt be concerned about "having a chance of qualifying", they should be concerned if they DIDN'T WIN. While the Canada series might get TV coverage in Canada, the AMA national series gets worldwide coverage and is the number 1 series in the world. The only place to make a statement for the two strokes is in the AMA national series.
Maybe you should pose that thought to Dowd,Huffman,Carpenter,Northrup,Nye etc,etc to get their opinions.Granted, most US riders that show up here are on the upside or downside of their careers somewhat or if not I suspect just want some good racing in a more laid back environment. If I remember correctly, and I probably don't,Huffman for one was consistent top 15 finisher AMA the year before he came here-and didn't win.Though not AMA certainly, comp is stiff and a win is by no means guaranteed-nor is a qualifying position. The series here is broadcast multiple times on Rogers Sportsnet.
Depending how AMA qualifying goes,tv coverage up here may be better than none down there.Just a thought
