About time they did it at max revs, I always though that they should do ride by testing too. Thats the noise that causes complaints, not fast idling in the pits and claiming the bikes quiet enough.
Our local track got closed down back in 2000 for noise, never had a complaint until a certain type of bike arrived. And the track was 22kms from town

There was an article in MXA, where they talked to the folks at Pro Circuit. It seems that they had been sound testing all the four-stroke exhaust systems, they could get them to be 92db, 94db or 96db at the AMA testing rpm.

What happened when they ran them flat out on the dyno?? 130db!! They also did drive by sound tests that were not too far from that same figure..
