AMA Homologation Rules
« on: April 08, 2011, 04:28:11 PM »
http://motocrossactionmag.com/Main/News/APPROVED-MOTORCYCLES-FOR-2011-SUPERCROSS-MOTOCROSS-7733.aspx

This is why i think the AMA Homologation rules are bullshit.
There are plenty of good "common" bikes that are made illegal just to keep the big 5 happy.
I for 1 would like to see every manufactor out on the track.
It happens in Europe/Australasia etc but not in the US. >:(
If you don't fall off you are not going hard enough

The AMA's rules won't be perfect until you can ride a 1978 Maico 440 against a 2011 CRF450.  The wisdom of doing this in professional championship racing is up to you, but it should be legal regardless.

Is this Maico a 440 or only a 400?  Well in all the confusion, I forgot myself.
But considering this is a 1978 Magnum, the best-handling bike in the world, you have to ask yourself one question.
Do you feel lucky, punk?

Did the homologation rules change with the production rule in 86?

I imagine something like this!

"No, a ktm 150sx can't compete against 250f! the bike is gonna rip on track and team managers get fucked up cause they spent 50grand in an engine and other 50grand in a rider to get smoked!"

Up yours AMA! Motocross is getting too mainstream sport. It looks like european soccer..

The 150sx isn't allowed but the older 06 125sx is allowed?  :-X? No shock with older 4 strokes not being legal, they don't want any "incidents".

The 06 kx125 isn't allowed either, since it is more than 2 years old.
