Fun in the forest
« on: September 15, 2012, 11:19:27 AM »
Went for my first ride in 6 months today in a local forest. Been away working.
Arm pump after 5 minutes  :-[ but came right to have a bit of fun.

The second part starts at the end of the first.
Wasn't as much fun when your not bike fit.

Beats sitting at home all the same. ;D

Make that fun X2! This is your late winter, do you get much snow there?

What kind of tire are you running on the rear of the TM? It's strange how the 4T$ won't hook up in the really slick stuff. ;D

Yep end of winter here. Had lots of rain lately.
We don't get snow here we are too close to the coast but we get snow 1/2 hour up the road from where the ride was.
An hour earlier I got up that hill no problems at all , 2nd/3rd gear. There were less big ruts tho. But as you could see the guy on the 450 blocked my run and that was that. ><img src=" title="Angry" class="smiley">
Momentum is the key.
The soil is a clay base and the down hills were actually worse because the tyres built up with clay. At least up hill you could spin the rear to clear the knobs.

Kenda K771 rear btw.

Here is another similar hill but with some momentum.

Sorry for my video skills, I am still working it out and it doesn't help getting dust behind my lense all the time.
It's pissing me off. ><img src=" title="Angry" class="smiley">

Looks like fun! Making Mud Pies! (and mud shotguns!).

So how long did it take to clean the goop off of that gorgeous TM?  :o
