Ricky Renner went against all odds Saturday and entered his ’09 YZ 125 in the 250 class.
Ricky went out for his first practice of the day and ran a 2.19, 9th fastest in Lites group B. He picked it up a bit on the 2nd practice running a 2.17.224. Good enough to qualify 36th out of 80 250 entries. During the two 30+2 moto’s he ranged from 30th to 38th place, finishing the first moto in 31st and the 2nd in 35th. Giving him a 34th overall for the day.
Before anyone judges, he was faster in practice than 44 250f’s. 20 of which didn’t make it to the show. For a part-time rider on a 3 year old close to stock 125, he did VERY well. Nice ride Ricky!
