In a surprising announcement the ACU (England’s version of the AMA) has released information about a new championship series for 2010. The British 2 Stroke Championships.

The race series will consist of 5 events. There will be Qualifying on Saturdays, with two races held on Saturday’s and three races held on Sunday’s.

March 27/28 – Glenrothes Club @ Leuchars, Fife
May 22/23 – Cambridge JSC @ Mepal, nr Ely Cambridge.l
June 19/20 – West Cumbria MCC @ Dean Moor nr Workington, Cumbria
July 31/ August  1 – East Cumbria MCC @ Brampton
September  11/12 – Hucklebridge Events @ Cusses Gorse, nr Winterbourne Gunner

The two National Championship classes will crown the new champions as, 125cc National Champion and 250cc National Champion. The two-strokes will no longer be classified under the MX 1 and MX 2 system.

The two-strokes are making huge strides in England.
