Yeah I do searches on diff 2st. mods, and TT always has some good info from a number of 2-st riders. Example reed valves  alot of riders on TT say vforce is a waste of money, get the rad valve it,s shocking improvement.

I have some input there....I had an old rad valve....the twin petal model and they stopped making reeds that fit that one so I decided to switch to the v force and ran into an issue that i didn't have a stock cr reed cage to canibalize for the intake manifold so I machines the old rad valve cage to fit and oh my god....the power is insane....I'm leaving torque ruts in a tight set grass mat (cow pasture stuff....if u know what I'm dealing with ull understand) in the bottom of the power band....wich comes in early as hell

SuperTrucker - I disagree on the reed valves, I much prefer the V-Force3 on my YZ250 over the Rad Valve.  Don't know about a 125 like you ride though...  It gave a noticeable increase in the mid range, corners that I used to take in 2nd gear I can now hit in 3rd without any bogging.

OK Lord327 you tested both reed valves, back to back ? The rad valve works great on cr 125 and 250,s I know of a guy racing expert currently that has 3 cr250,s. He tested both reed valves, test result low to mid for coming out of corners etc., the rad valve is much better. The vforce has more air flow on the topend, than the rad valve, but that is the only place it,s better. All bikes are different thow, but the rad valve has always been known to increase low to mid power with no loss on top.

The V-Force likes to have full exhaust, then it really shines.  My WR250 came stock with the V-Force Reeds.  It ripped down low, and when I added a pipe, it really became a different bike.  I have used them on my bikes for years, all the way back to my 95 YZ250. http://www.enduroarmor.com/vforce-vforce-3i/

I use V-Force on my 02 cr125 it helps with power from bottom to top twist the throttle and no bogging coming out of corners

Funny thread, its went from using different pistons in other bikes to which reed cage was better. Vforce reeds are good for mid to top, and boyesen are good for bottom through mid with sacrificing top end.  This is old news, lol.. And with a even further twist lets talk about two stroke oils, which brand gives you the most bang for the buck?  I love Klotz R50, but at $52 its a bit spendy.

Nobody's noticed it yet.By changing pistons the compression ratio can be altered and so engine characteristics.

Yes, I tested back to back, and the V-Force III on my YZ250 with an FMF Fatty hit earlier and pulled harder from low to upper mid than the Rad valve.  The Rad did give more top end though, but for SX style tracks and woods riding I like the V-Force better.  I also have the older motor, it is a 68mm by 68mm, not the 64mm x 72mm bore & stroke that Yamaha changed to, that is still current.

Idk about that, RMATVMC says 66.4mm for my 03, which is dumb due to 95 and up KDX200 having a 66mm piston. Lame.
