Best sparkplug?
« on: January 11, 2012, 07:47:14 AM »
I am running a kx85 and i was wondering which sparkplug would be the best for winter riding, i keep it in the pipe so fouling them isnt usually an issue, im running a 2.60$ NGK, is there better ones?

i run NGK's in everything we have

i personally haven't found a better one for the price, in the winter here the bikes do lose a little power but as far as consistency its just as good, hot or cold

I use NGK. It handles my rich mixtures well, so I like it.
Mixin' gas and kickin' ass, Burnin' oil and smellin' royal. Two stroke until I die (which hopefully isn't soon)   If your not mixing gas, your not kicking ass.

What's the real world advance over normal IW-series plugs?

Is it really worth the price?

Yes. Better your engine is tuned the bigger the difference they make.

the best plug is one that hasn't fouled, ;D
my bike came with a $35 dollar plug too, didn't fit under my oversized tank, so I replaced it with a shorter cheaper NGK, i'm on the third  plug since I bought the bike new in 07'. Two plugs one when I put the tank on and the other when I rebuilt the topend.
I ride it like a four stroke and run 32:1 with the pilot leaned one size
If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.
