I'd use these settings as a baseline for aggressive riding and click away from there...

Forks:
C: 13 out
R: 14 out
slide them up ~5mm up in the clamps depending.

Shock:
HC: 1 ¾ out
LC: 8 out
R: 8 out
Sag: 100mm

What year is that YZ? It's super clean...

Well let me haze you a bit then, I figured the Admin of this site would know his 2-strokes. I’m a bit surprised you don’t know what year YZ250 that is.

Maybe we could start a thread where someone posts a pic of a modern 2-stroke with stock graphics on it and see who can call out what year it is.

Let the hazing begin.   I’ve been catching bits of info on this site lately, and you all seem pretty civil compared to some of the other message board jockeys out there so I registered… My brother who used to race AMA Pro got me into this sport in about 1983… I haven’t ridden consistently since then but have managed to own about eight YZ’s over the years… I just got number nine, which is my 4th YZ250.



And yes I’d like to think I know what I’m doing out there…




I live in San Diego, CA. and hope to meet some of you locals out riding sometime. I also do videography on the side for some extra income and fun… you can check out some videos on my very primitive website:  www.exarteproductions.com which also has an action sports map I am in the process of updating.
