What is the oldest 2 stroke that you have in your collection.
I have a 1928 Johnson 2.5Hp outboard.

And a 1938 Johnson 4Hp.

Vintage Two Strokes / NZ VMX Final Rnd

Just got back from the final round of this years VMX series.
Was a great days racing had buy all and the forcast for heavy rain didn't happen to the end of the day ( It was raining first thing ) and the track was in perfect condition.
The bike ran perfect and with the new shock and a new needle I tried, the bike was very quick and I had some good results.
The prize giving was epic and the head is a little sore today.
Bring on next season.

Went riding in the weekend up on the central highlands at Waiouru army base.
We loaded up the truck and trailer on friday with bikes & camping gear and drove the 3 hours up to Waiouru.
Went ridng saturday and sunday on marked tracks around the army base which are a mixture of sand/pumice & volcanic ash.
Did about 6 hours riding over the weekend and had a ball.

Vintage Two Strokes / RM250 Rebuild

Just picked up a basket case 85' RM250.
I bought this off a guy I race with and he used this bike and another to build 1.
All the important bits are there and I got it for sfa.
Plan on doing a full nut and bolt rebuild to match my 125.
I may shoehorn the motor into my spare 125 frame which is already rebuilt.
I need to do some measurements to see if it will work or not. If not, this frame will get rebuilt instead.
I will put an order in tommorrow for , new plastics,piston,rod,stator,exhaust etc.
Have pulled the barrell and will need a new os piston and rebore. The rod feels fine but will spilt the cases and see what is needed in the tranny and replace what ever is needed.
