Ok, thanks guys  :) How about suspension wise? I have it set up for racing at the moment, so what should I do to set it up for the desert?

Mixin' gas and kickin' ass, Burnin' oil and smellin' royal. Two stroke until I die (which hopefully isn't soon)   If your not mixing gas, your not kicking ass.

for desert you can go softer.  especially in rocky stuff.  stiff suspension will cause you to bounce around alot.  i had my 300 xc-w revalved and it sticks real good in rocky stuff.  trade off is is is allittle mushy in high speed stuff.  i was having most of my issues in rocky hills so i went for that setup.  i occasionally ride my 250 sx in the desert.  it is setup for moto so works ok in fast desert woops but not in rocky stuff.

The rocky stuff in my trails is pretty gnarly stuff, and I usually just stand up and go right through most of it with my racing suspension set up. I'm just concerned about my rims getting dented, or the extreme stress that I could be saving other components from.
