Yeah, there is enough tread to exposed to put a pin in it, but the only thing is there is no bear steel so I would have to drill the hole in the threads and last time I tried that, it didn't work out well because that little burr of metal that comes off the end of the drill hole gets all in the thread and obviously I can't grind it.

Well apparently you torque them down insanely, just read a thread where they torquing them to around 80lbs/ft to tighten them down. I personally would never go that far if I couldn't help it, I hate breaking crap.

I did 80 foot pounds of torque just like it said in the manual. There isn't a crazy amount of thread left, hold on I'm going to take a picture.

could take it to a shop and have someone drill a hole for you. I guess I should pay more attention to mine.

Yeah paying attention to those would pay off... Imagine taking off from the gate and seeing your rear wheel rolling next to you?  :P Well I'm going to take it into the shop and wire brush the threads and put some more lock tight on it and hope for the best.

I'm thinking there is grease on the threads that maybe just letting it slip... If that doesn't work I am going to put the carter pin and hole in. Thanks for the idea  :)
