Looks great!  You can't beat that deal.  It also looks like it may have been dropped for those mounts to break.  As long as it runs great, you got a good deal.

Thanks. The silencer "fits" and mounts firmly it just took somebody adjusting a lot to get it there. I'm looking at starting at a 40:1 ratio but I'm going to talk to the local shop owner (he's a long time friend of the family) all in all I'm still impressed with the bike just got a few things to tune up first. Like I said I'm a pretty fast rider and didnt lug the bike and my grandfather said it was smoking pretty bad so I'm sure it had to much oil. As far as it being laid down I can't find any other marks on the bike to match up. I think the po got it off a different model bike and made it fit. But like I said I'm not concerned with it.

From the looks of it, the previous owner just putted around on it, which will gum everything up, including the spark plug, power valve, piston, and silencer. The good thing is that it will aid in breaking in the motor since it will be well lubricated (as long as too much carbon doesn't build up on the top of the piston, making it run hot).

from watching the video, I can tell you definitely need stiffer fork springs. These KX's are known for a undersprung front end. And adjusting the clickers to try to fix it just makes it worse.
You should also drop the forks flush with top of the clamps, and give your shock and extra 5-10mm of sag.
I posted a review of Diverse Springs a few months ago.
If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind. But honestly that was me just goofing off the suspension was way off. Not even in the ballpark of ridable the static sag was less that 20 mm and the race was at 60. I got to ride it for the first time yesterday and after it put me on my ass twice I knew something was off and that's when I checked and found the sag issue. I actually can't tell which wayi need to go to balance the suspension but I'm at 100mm race sag and the I do need to move the forks down a little but one time I would jump and it felt like it blew through the stroke up front then the next it felt like a rock. Not bad for day one on the bike and I had a blast. I didn't really get any pics or anything my friend did but she hasn't sent them to me yet only thing I did was get home and pull the plug to check the mixture and this is what I found

I'm running it at 40:1
Also does anybody know what the oil level should be in the cases? It has a sight glass but no full/low markings this is what I got

Pretty sure it's not low or anything just curious about the levels.

There should be a marking of how many CC's of oil to put in the bottom end. If I am not mistaken, it should be 750 cc (mL) of oil, but it might be different on your bike. Look for that number somewhere on the bottom end.
Mixin' gas and kickin' ass, Burnin' oil and smellin' royal. Two stroke until I die (which hopefully isn't soon)   If your not mixing gas, your not kicking ass.

Yeah mine is 650mL marked on my cylinder... Most 250's are around 750 mL

Thanks guys but I think y'all misunderstood me. I was curious as to the sight glass levels. As in if I'm looking at the glass and I don't see any oil how low it it. Like the bottom of the dilating in a car is usually half a quart low. There are no marks on the glass for me to look and know what low is unless low is simply u can't see oil through the glass.

Well as long as you have no leaks, then once you put in the oil, you shouldn't worry about it. If you are really into it, once you fill it to specs, mark it off yourself on the glass.

if the oil is 1/2 way up the glass or more you are sweet. a mate had a seal go on his 2012 kxf and when he came back to the pits there was oil leaking out of his engine. there was no oil to be seen in the sight glass and we thought it would be bone dry. dropped the oil out of it and nearly the full amount came out. that level there should be fine. if only suzuki was smart enough to use a system like that on their 2 strokes

It's not that important or anything just curiosity really. My kxf had a sight glad but it was makes high and low so u could look at it and tell if u needed to add oil or drain some. No oil leaks or anything like that and the oil in it is fine so I'm not gonna drain it to refill it just curious. Thanks for all the help guys

hense the stiffer fork springs.

100mm race sag is the starting point, I'm running 110mmwith the stock spring. it rakes the front ends out while you're on the bike and improves the stability I also have my forks dropped all the way down in the clamps.
You can get a link that lowers the rear end from Pro Circuit and makes a major improvement in the handling, but it's like $125.
an extra 10mm of sag does the same thing for free.

as for the oil sight, if you lean the bike over to the drive side you can look in the window and see that there is an angled piece of steel behind the glass that comes to a point, that point is where you should be full too.

If a pair of 2" brass balls isn't working, I doubt that the 3" model will make much difference.
