It seems to be much more of a Fooper Sucking rag now that Jimmy's not the editor anymore.

They now seem to be brown-nosing all things Fooper with all their might to try to get more advertising in the magazine or something...

A 350 Fumper offroad shootout??? ..... yeah... that's cool.

I got 10 cents for my copy of Frrrt Wider down at the recycling center and put it towards the new MXA.

No need for another Fooper magazine...
I think 4 stroke dirtbikes are a phase, kind of like "Glam Rock" in a way. You see the whole world subscribing to it, and you wonder how everyone could be choking down so much Kool Aid and Spam... Then 10 Years later, nothing's left but the timeless stuff from before and after..

Well, that sux. I still have a subscription. BUT, letter to the Editor might help. Especially if a slew of us all blast him at once. If someone can type up a nice, neat, tactful, derogetory opinion. We can all copy/paste it to him and let him know how we feel. Threatening not to buy or renew subscription. I'd make a good edumecated guess that if 100 of us blast him, he'll get the point. Friends talk...word of mouth in this world makes or breaks someone.

I'd write one up, but I'm too honest... and nice, Tipper Gore type, grammer and tactfulness would not be my personality.

i would not mind doing this, i'm a fairly good writer (or at least that's what my professor's say  :P), and i don't mind writing derogetory remarks (see my post on vital about Mathes) but also being tactful as well

if yall want you could email me ebulls@sbcglobal.net and then when i get everybody's ideas i could put them together and then send them over to dirtrider

I dropped my subscription 5 yrs ago. It was and apparently is the 4 stroke journal...  Nothing of any importance to me in that world so I cancelled it.

I love 2 strokes but why be pissed at dirtrider because of a 350 four stroke shootout? ..plus dirtrider is so freaking cheap it's ridiculous. This issue only has a kx100 for 2012 in there but really with so few manufacturers selling 2 stroke no sense being pissy. ..plus it's dirt rider not   strictly 2 stroke dirt rider.

Not pissy.  I just could care less about 4 strokes so why would I want a magazine that only writes about them?  Don't much give a crap bout SX or MX anymore either.  Used to go to Washougal every year, but having to wear earplugs just sux, so I don't do that anymore either...

I haven't seen any good dirtbike magazine, I don't buy mags unless I'm at the airport and when I look they all look like fopper magazines, so I usually end up buying a Caribbean or Island travel magazine instead.

you guys have short memories.  Dirt Rider was ALWAYS the pro-4T magazine.  Even before there were compeitive 4 strokes, they were ALL OVER Scott Summers and the XR600 he rode in GNCC.  If someone was shoehorning an XR400 engine into a CR250 frame, dirt rider covered it.  And there was that company that used to specialize in putting XR100 motors in CR80 frames.  Dirt Rider was all over that too, every single month.  They would seriously try to cinvince people that the XR was a competitive platform.

They have been a 4 stroke magazine since the early 90s.

Not totally convinced of that, Jimmy Lewis says that the KTM 250XC is the best bike made, and actually raced a YZ125 in the Vet class all year.

+1. I remember that as well. They were even going to do an article about my $10,000 XR200 before I blew it up and gave up on the project. (Cr125 suspension, Al Baker 220 kitted, lighter that a CR125 and more power!).

They cover 2 stroke stuff fairly well. A bigger issue is the lack of a consistent tone or style to their stories. Take Dirt Bike and MXA, those magazines have a voice throughout. You can read a couple of paragraphs of a  story and tell pretty quickly that the story is published in MXA.

Dirt Rider also needs more advertising. It used to be thick and packed with good info. For the price ($12 or $14 a year) it's an OK read but could be much, much better.

Well I'm a moto fan so I can still find pleasure in purchasing these magazines :) Whether I disagree or not.
