I prefer the snap.  I need the snap as a reference point.  I am no McGrath by any means, but I am 100% faster on a two stroke, and I am beginning to think I am the only one.
You are not the only one... Every time I hear an excuse for four strokes being easier my response is that racing is about a challenge, if it was easy everyone would do it.
Mixin' gas and kickin' ass, Burnin' oil and smellin' royal. Two stroke until I die (which hopefully isn't soon)   If your not mixing gas, your not kicking ass.

I agree 100 percent. It's supposed to be challenging and they are for sure a lot more fun but for the average person they can be intimidating and the smooth 4 stroke power is helpful. I obviously don't buy into the "they are better in every aspect" but they do have their merits. Some people simply can't handle a twostroke for whatever reason (I know a guy right off the top of my head on a Honda 450 and I wouldn't even suggest he look at a 2 stroke) but for a decent to advanced rider on a bike with the same cc advantage (250 2t vs 250 4t) the two stroke will have the advantage. Some people have the money to race 4strokes and just wanna be on a track and jump the hills without getting hurt and 4strokes allow that to happen

The way I look at it is like this.

I hear a ton of talk about "4 strokes are better because they are easier" and I can't help but reply "does that mean they are better, or does it mean you are fat, slow, and out of shape?"

To answer your questions... fat? Yes  :D, slow? Yes  :D, out of shape? Hell Yes... ;D  but I ride a two stroke...  8)

Yeah... I'm no fitness nut but I would say I am in shape and I can handle my 250 just fine. In my opinion, I think anyone can ride any kind of bike no matter what size or power, you just have to take the time to learn how and let it come naturally. You can't buy a beast of a bike and expect to be ripping on it in a day. It takes practice and perfection.
