Devin Watson needs your help…
Our good friend and two-stroke National racer Devin Watson needs some help.
He wants to race at the Pala National on his YZ250, but he finds himself a bit low on funds to get to the race. He is a newly married young man, paying his own way.
At Washougal Devin almost got the two-stroke into the big show. He only missed qualifying by a very small margin. His best lap time was a 2:22 and he needed a 2:19 to make it in.
For those of you that have not experienced the cost of competing on the National level, let’s just say that even the smallest attempt is a very costly one. Just the entry fee alone for each National is $200.
If everyone that read this article sent a couple of dollars to help Devin out, it would be a huge help.
Here’s a chance to help out a two stroke brother. Let’s help get him to Pala.
Devin’s Paypal account is svlandscape@hotmail.com
Please remember that every little bit helps, even if it’s just a $10. – $5. or $2. donation. Every little bit can help. Plus then you could tell all your friends that you sponsor a National level racer!! How cool is that?
Thank you!

Please dont take this a wrong way but I am questioning the lap times in the write up. I (along with others I am sure) look at the qualifying times at: http://results.mxsportsproracing.com/data/2010/08/450_qc_ovr.pdf
His best time at Washougal was a 2:247 and he needed to beat a 2:178 to make the show.
P.S.: I feel dirty and will probably need to donate to cleanse myself after this post.

Guys so what? The kid is trying. There is someone on a RM250 that is trying to qualify at Southwick also. It was on the Racer X website yesterday with the Pro Practice at Southwick. I also note they have Simon Cudby video with Josh Hill at Pella, CA at practice on a YZ250! He is making this huge uphill double look easy on it. What is that all about? I think we need to try and get some wins at LL qualifiers and LL on two-strokes, which is feasible, ( heck there is no 250 cc limit and a 320-380 cc two-stroke in a modern frame could win) and also the Pro AMA classes. You need a great rider to do so in the Pro AMA outdoors but it can be done. The Euro FIM MX1 Martin kid is always in the top 10-15 on at KTM 250SX. Also, we need to write KTM and Yamaha we demand more modern two-strokes with the new technology-coatings, lighten parts (like the SXS packages for four-strokes) and fuel injection or at least the kits to build them. We are racing two-strokes with 1980 technology while four-strokes have 2010 road racing technology. Guess who wins? We can do this. The two-stoke is not dead!!!

PS I meant in the various veterans and Masters classes there is no 250 cc two-stroke limit.
