The King Speaks…
The folks over at Transworld Motocross Interviewed Jeremy McGrath on video recently. Among the questions they asked him, the two-stroke question was raised as well.
Since Jeremy is sponsored by Honda, the answer seemed to be a forgone conclusion. I love it when I’m proved wrong!!
Watch and enjoy!

I bet honda is really mad that he said something like that. Cause so many people look up at mc as their idol and what mc likes to ride then most his fans will want to ride. Especially since they dont have a two stroke anymore. I LOVE IT.

Gotta love an honest pro.

McGrath is such a badass! He’ll always be my favorite rider. So I wonder how many other pros would agree with him on the two stroke thing if they didn’t really NEED to be employed by the big 4?

Very interesting observations about the safety of 450′s in crashes. They kind of “clobber you” and “gather you up”……great interview and honesty.
MC, being retired and not needing to Honda’s paychecks, is free to speak more candidly than current pro’s.

MC never held back what he wanted to say. He was pretty clear when he left Honda the first time. He didn’t like the perimiter frames. Honda had inivested in them. Adapt or leave. He left.
Now with the 4 strokes, it doesn’t matter so much. He’s paid, happy, and is doing a good job at his current profession.
I love the way he talks about RC as a kid. I used to talk about MC the same way!
