The rule change at this stage only covers our National MX series, with a view to implement it at state and local level in 2011.
But steps on the right direction are being taken.

I’ve always been fond of the Aussies and this ruling just made it stronger. Now, if only some of their reasoning and sense of equality will get imported into the U.S, it will make for much better racing at all levels.

While i’m happy that they are righting a wrong, it should never have happened in the first place. How in good conscience do you enact a rule that gives an engine a handicap so it can compete, yet make the handicap so big that it forces the competition to go extinct??

Bravo Australia for putting things back to the way they should have been all along. I now fully expect 250 2 strokes to eat 250 4 strokes for lunch and crap the remains out their stingers.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Australia! I’m almost ready to move down there now. It’s great to see a sanctioning body realize that 250cc = 250cc. Now we just need the AMA and the FIM to pull their heads out and do the same.
