I watched this race and the article doesn’t give the full story. James was running at least 20 seconds ahead in the first race, clearing all the big tabletops with ease. What was good as well was the track was really rough and rutted and thus a track to suit 4 strokes. Unfortunately he fell halfway through the last lap and was down for some time before he got going again which cost him the easy win he would have had.
It was great to hear and see the 2 stroke at the front of the pack with a good sized crowd following the race.

It was good to see James ripping the RM around the wet, rutty track. In fact there were a few KTM 2sts in the top 10 as well. I think James even holeshot one moto which had me cheering him on, and the track was such a mess it hindered the 250f’s, the 2st pilots were able to stay on top of the dirt and swap lines easily, just shows us that there’s still life in the old 125′s yet ! Well done ‘every’ 2st racer there.

The picture looks like an RM80. Does this bike have an 80 frame with a 125 motor in it? Why didn’t he race a 150?
