With all the politics and dirty worlds of it out there, It is hard to think of sports in Iran. Indeed, There are all the brands available. But like in the U.S, Japanies bikes are top. Actually, MX has been there since the CZ and Maico time of Europe. Infact, If it wasn't because of that God D.. revolution, Iran would have been listed on top GP FIM today. By the way, Almost all riders out there interested and follows about American riders such as, RC and others. Yes some very good and talented riders out there. Freestyle too. Perhaps one day soon, The 2 countries will become allied again and riders can meet and have fun to compete. That will be the best. I find the TM's too much work to ride - pipey mid range case reed motors and handling characteristics I can't get used to.The Maico's, on the other hand, have linear,powerful,piston port reed motors and neutral handling characteristics that inspire confidence.I'd rather keep the chrome-moly frames,KTM and Ducati have it right.One problem with the Maico's (for height challenged riders)is that they are very tall.I can look David Knight right in the eyes so the Maico's are very comfortable for me. I’ve ridden the new Maico’s for quite a few years now and my brother has ridden new TM’s. If there was no KTM Yamaha would go ahead and kill the 2T in MX too. I believe what they do in other departments reflects their goals. But I guess buying a 2T from them can't hurt. It's funny that dads at the starting gate were calling me "dumb" for putting my son on a 125 instead of the "superior" 250f, then said we have a "cheater bike" when we roll up to the gate on a 2006 stock RM250. Here is a video of Dylan on his '06 RM125. It's a practice so he waits at the gate but still cool to see the 125 pull the 4t's on the straights. I thought that wasn't possible.
