i love it. i really like the cdi under seat and the transparent powervalve cover. i see alot of people trashing the new motor saying the 01 is so much better. people just say what they read. or if they have an 01 or 99 or whatever they have there gonna say its the best because they own it.i hate people liek that. theres alot of im.i have an 02 and my buddy has a 2000 witch is the same motor as the 01. and my bike is definatly better than his. the only flaw to the engine i see is the electric powervalve i had issues with in the past.

nice bike but all that effort could have went into putting an 01 motor with the 00 keihin airstriker carb in that newer frame. 01 was the best motor hands down. besides your billy bob motor work that bikes nothing but bells and whistles and a bunch of hype. a real 2010 cr250 would have the newer frame. go on youtube and search cr250afs, that guy had the right idea.

Very nice creation:

Question? You said reliable stock pipe!

What there a reason for using this. The stock pipe is timed for the stock porting, didn't you change port timing? Don't you feel you could get more top end RPM and over rev by doing so with an after market pipe? FMF, Bills? Lightning all the internal top end parts would lean towards this advantage also, not being picky very nice work so please excuse my ignorance if I missed something.

Thanks

this is a cool bike much as i would want to do it. i love the appearance as well. tho my budget doesnt stretch to the decals etc.
anybody thought about using ceramic bearings? 30% less drag, meaning for a 50hp bike, 1 hp more on the crank,3hp more at the gearbox input and 5hp more at the countershaft. also titanium con rod reducing the power absorbed by reciprocating mass, one calculation was approx 7 hp
availability of the top end and bottom end bearings might be an issue.
comment on these figures are encouraged by people in the tuning feild.
cheers
