Hello Honda277 your best bet in getting prices for these modifications is to contact Derek at HP Bikes.

Please tell him where you found out about his services. Let us know how you make out with your bike.

I need to get an approximate price as to how much this all cost. I dont have that much money but still want my CR125 to perform better than stock.

theduke135 the bike sounds awesome!

Special thanks to Derek Harris for all the work and research that guided so many to build budget racers that rip.

Hopefully in the near future we will do a complete write up on Duke's machine.

New updates and tests are coming for the "budget racer CR125" so stay tuned. I can walk now without any pain so I'll be back to riding soon with revalved suspension, springs for my weight and some more engine work and goodies such as a Pro Circuit electronic ignition (bought super cheap in a blowout sale).

Ridered125

Thank you for the compliments on this article.

We agree that investing $10,000. or more into a brand new $8,000. motocross bike is out of the budget of most motocross racing families.

There is a way to be competitive, at least on a local level without spending so much money.

Although if you plan on competing in the top amateur or professional events, the cost of your machine and the modifications required to be competitive will increase dramatically.

We have a few articles for normal folks in the works. So please stay tuned!

This is one of the best motocross bike hop-up articles I have ever read. It is detailed, easy to to understand, and not about a 2009 bike that someone drops $5000 into. Very well done and refreshing.
